A one time evaluation that will consist of a thorough analysis of your history and identifying underlying causes of your problem, a musculoskeletal examination of the body, and depending on your diagnosis evaluations will vary.

TMJ Exam

  • Assessment of range of motion of jaw, neck, back.
  • Manual assessment of orofacial muscles, cervical, and thoracic spine.
  • Assessment of joints of the jaw, neck, and back.

Postpartum Exam

  • Diastasis recti assessment (to assess separation of abdominal muscles postpartum).
  • Scar tissue mobilization of incision or tear sites.
  • Objective measurements of postpartum abdominal swelling
  • Assessment of core muscle activity and proper muscle activation and sequencing.
  • EMG (electromyogram) assessment, measuring the electrical activity of muscles of the pelvic floor at rest and during contraction. EMG may help with diagnoses such as incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, painful intercourse (dyspareunia, vaginismus) etc.
  • Proper use of postpartum abdominal/pelvic supports.
  • Ergonomic and postural assessment of postpartum activities such as breastfeeding and lifting techniques.
  • Manual assessment of core/hip/and pelvic floor to identify and treat causes of pelvic pain.

Prenatal Exam

  • Functional assessments during different trimesters of pregnancy
  • Manual exam of muscle tension and body alignment.

Women's Health Exam

  • Manual assessment of core/hip/and pelvic floor to identify and treat causes of pelvic pain.

  • Postural and ergonomic assessment.
  • Review of current exercise program and routines.
  • Assessment of core muscle activity and proper muscle activation and sequencing.

  • Decreases pain from the reduction of swelling/edema.
  • Provides a gentle massage of muscles, tendons and/ or ligaments in the treated area.

Surface EMG/Biofeedback

  • Retraining of muscles.

Electrical Stimulation

  • Aid in muscle training.
